I CONTINUE TO SURROUND MYSELF WITH THOSE WHO’S MOTIVATION, MOTIVATES ME TO STAY MOTIVATED AND MOVE FORWARD WITH MY GOALS!!!
You gave to make a decision to surround yourself with positive go getter people if that is what you desire to be. Ask questions don’t be ashamed or afraid of the unknown. I use to be afraid to ask questions but I got a revelation that if you don’t ask you won’t ever know. It can be a difficult task but it’s well worth it to sift your friends like wheat. I made it my business to only surround myself with those who are like-minded or better minded (laughing but serious) than myself. That way they can show me I can ask questions I can grow and move forward. The people around me also motivate me, encourage, me tell me the truth especially when they know it will hurt my feeling but assist in my growth. Don’t be surprised if you are no longer on my list of people who I communicate with on a regular basis. I mean let’s be real you already know who you are because you don’t have my best interest at heart. It’s okay move on with your life know that I’m praying for you.
As for those of you who are my rocks, my cheerleaders, and I am yours lets keep moving forward, praying, encouraging, motivating, pushing and truth-telling so that we may all excel in life.
Today marks two years of blogging. I am proud of myself for the consistent content that I have produced. I enjoy writing and sharing my life and the things around me. I know my listening ear and sharing my experience prior to blogging helped people around me. I thought merging the two would be even more of a help to others. I am grateful to those of you who have supported and continue to support my blog. I look forward to sharing my upcoming endeavors with you all.
Keep coming back more encouraging, motivational, inspirational and fashionable blog posts are to come. As I grow and change you I hope that you will change and grow too.
It’s been an emotional day but a great 8 years. I am so excited that an African Amercian family from south side of Chicago occupied The White House for eight years without a scandal. The entire Family has made me so proud. We have had great times and bad times with The Obama’s in office. It’s the hardest pill to swallow, that the first family is leaving the White House. I have been proud, inspired, and motivated especially by POTUS AND FLOTUS. They both have helped me and so many others see that we can accomplish anything we desire. Of course I’m sad as they depart but The Obama’s in the White House will forever be a motivating force for me. I don’t agree, just like many other Americans with DT being elected as President but it’s life. So for the next 4 years: “Ya’ll can have Trump, I’m going w/ The Obama’s.
I had a totally different topic to share with you all, today but as I was scrolling through Instagram I saw this quote “If you get tired, Learn to rest, Not quit” posted by Niecy Nash. I know May of us go through days and times where we just feel like it would be easier to just quit, give up,throw in the towel, but that’s not the answer. We get in our feelings, all emotional and then we sometimes make a mistake and let it go. 10 times out of 10 we are better off just taking a break, putting things on pause and resting than just giving up.
Quitting should never be an option, remember quitters never win. How will you ever complete anything or get to the finish line if you just quit. Quitting only works with bad relationships and bad jobs. You can always find or create another job and trust me there is someone better for you if that man or woman didn’t treat you right.
Resting is essential to the process of winning. Many times our bodies and minds need rest. So we need to listen to that voice so we can rest and rejuvenate ourselves for the next leg of the race. Listen to your body it tells you when it needs rest. You mind will go into overload when you don’t give it a break.
I’m saying all of this just to reiterate the quote “If you get tired, Learn to Rest, Not Quit” !!!
I can recall in high school and in college the classes, as well as counselors instructing me on how to conduct myself at work. How to use certain etiquette, decorum and the respect that should be shown at work no matter who I work with. I would like to pose a few questions to my readers ;
Where did your first work training come from?
Do you understand proper work etiquette??
Have you ever worked with your family or close friend?
If you have worked with family or friends how did it go?
If you haven’t worked with family or close friend would you consider it?
I know many get on the job training, do volunteer work and that is their first dose of on the job training for work others learn early. Parents, teachers, guardians etc. teach your children early how to conduct themselves at work. Many of them are having a hard time at work learning these things the hard way. If they don’t learn it will be a hard road for them and they will struggle at every job.
