Some days I have a great plan for my blog post and sometimes God throws my plan right out the window. I also know that my plan is not His plan and His plan is greater than mine. Now that’s a topic for another blog. So the topic God gave me is what most of us saw last night on the BET Awards , the acceptance speech by Humanitarian Jesse Williams.
He gave us all so much to think about, what we need to act on what to prepare ourselves for if we don’t do what’s necessary. We talk a good game and applaud those that do but we don’t put our words into action. One question I would like to pose is;
What are you going to do to make a change/ difference?
Jesse motivated us stir us up now what are we going to do. He is already out there making a change. We can’t just ride his coat tail we must figure out where we can start and do something. It starts with you right there in your community,creating groups and providing positive programs for the children and youth. You can educate the youth about the things they don’t learn in school. It’s so much one person can do, but they can’t do it all but they can motivate a few.
Everyday you should be able to close the day with a lesson learned, not specifically from a bad situation, but have a take away from the day. I mean think about it when you were in school you were constantly learning things to apply to life. Just because you are not currently enrolled in school doesn’t mean the learning stops. Today you may learn something new about a friend coworker family member or even your spouse.
Those of us who a attend church we go with the anticipation of learning something gaining knowledge to apply to our lives. We gain enough information then we go home and read the bible and get understanding for self.
This is life, constantly gaining knowledge to apply to daily living. If you really pay attention today you will realize you have learned so much in a day. Don’t be so closed that you , miss something that may help you to become a better you. I pray you end the day with lessons learned more knowledge of the people and places around you and something new that will change your life.
Gaining knowledge is great using it accordingly is Wisdom!!!
Today I had great topic to share with you all but I think I will share it on Wednesday, today with the recent mass shooting in Orlando, Florida’s Pulse night club, I want to share some words of empowerment and encouragement. It has been so much negativity being spewed out by news anchors, politicians, and of course the day to day person on social media. I am even more disappointed in many religious leaders. So many Christians want to validate the murdering of 50 homosexuals but that’ll simply disgusting to me that any human being would same something , even think something like that. The disrespect for the lives of other human beings is just horrible. I don’t know what bible they are reading nor what God they serve but neither one validates such a hateful manner.
I am even more disturbed by people arguing over if this is the most deadly massacre in the U.S.
Let me say this, whether it is or not losing the life of 5 people or 500 people is hurtful. Don’t waste time on such simple rhetoric. Instead of finding something stupid to hide behind let’s come together to figure out how to solve the issues we deal with on a daily basis.
It’s all about the well being of our human race. Whether you agree or disagree with the lifestyle someone lives you should still care about their well being. God created us all to be different but He also desires for us to love one another and serve one another. So instead of running your mouth put your feet to the pavement and make a difference somewhere in your city, community in this world.
I charge you all to;
“BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THIS WORLD” ( Mahatma Gandhi)
Have a Blessed Day All and take value in the people around you.
This blog is for the girls, ladies , and women, but men you can relate too. I want you all to get in the mirror with no make up when the weave is out, no beauty enhancements just 100% naturally you and tell yourself how much you love you. You have to like you and you have to love you. Trust me there is no greater feeling than embracing who you are and being comfortable in your own skin. We spend so much time trying to get others to like and love us, be our friends, boyfriends, man and husband. Yet we don’t take the time to like, love and embrace ourselves. How can anyone else appreciate you if you don’t appreciate yourself.
Personally I remember when I was in junior high I was more confident in who I was then, than when I was in high school and college. I spent my high school years being the cool person just cool with everybody I walked away with a few long life friendships. My college life I didn’t know who I was I found myself comparing myself to others lying about who I was just to get people to like me, although I came across a few who saw me for who I really am and I’m still cool with them to this day. It took me a few years after college to get to know me and love me and embrace me and accept me for who God created me to be. I got real with me I got in the mirror and had a hard conversation with myself. Now I myself flaws and all and anyone who comes along and don’t like me that’s their lost.
I want you all to walk away from this blog thinking about the things that are great about you. The things that make you a great friend, girlfriend or wife,a great mother and sister. If you have to grab some post its and put them on your mirror to remind yourself who you are what is great about you, then do just that. So that everyday when you look in that mirror there are reminders all around it that tell you how beautiful, and smart you are, make sure you use good adjectives to describe what’s great about you.
And then encourage the next sister don’t tear her down make her feel as good about herself as you feel about yourself.
Love you all
Stay beautiful inside and out
