Many people get these holidays mixed up today is to remember our fallen soldiers. To celebrate those who lost their life protecting our country. Consider those who gave their lives so that we can live a free life. In the midst of barbquing and eating, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather, don’t forget to remember our fallen soldiers. I have family that have serverd and are still here and an uncle who passed after Serving our country in the Marine Corp. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting my uncle I thank God for my uncle Curtis Hines ( not aware of his rank).
Thank God for all those who served and lost theirs that we may live…
Be careful who you call your friends. Everyone doesn’t have your best interest at heart. Those who are with you through thick and thin, the ups and downs, good and bad are real, friends. It’s important to establish what you expect from your friends, if it were a romantic relationship you would lay it all out so why wouldn’t you do it for a platonic relationship. Make sure you are the friend you want others to be to you. You can expect someone to treat you great and you treat them like crap. It has to be a balanced friendship.
Check yourself , check your list of friendship qualities and goals and then move forward. Just remember not to use the word friend to quickly or loosely, the term friend carries a lot of weight, can you carry it ?
You have the power to decide how your day and the rest of your week will go so use that power PRAY!!! Prayer is so imperative to your life, your conversations with God can make you a stronger person. You can talk to someone who is always listening and willing to assist you in your daily challeneges. Don’t wait until things get difficult or challenging pray before they get there and you can handle it with ease. Try it, try praying every morning before you do anything else and praying at night after all is done before you close your eyes and then let me know how things go. If you aren’t sure how to pray where to begin here is a blueprint for praying Matthew 6:9-13 Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be your name . Your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our delay bread. And forgive us our debts as we have forgiven our debtors [letting go of both the wrong and the resentment]. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. AMEN !!!
Pray your way into a better Day
When days are gloomy and grim what do you do? Do you just sit in your funk ? If so for how long? Or are you the type to try to find an outlet and bring yourself out of that sad feeling?
Which ever one fits you its doesn’t matter just know you are not alone. Everyone has bad days, weeks, months, heck even a bad year. We all have times when we are not feeling our best and need to shake the negative thoughts and emotions. We all have things that make us feel better whether it’s certain foods, movies etc. I know for me personally I need to submerge myself in the presence of God to rid myself of negative emotions and thoughts. I am also one who need to talk out or write out my feelings. This scripture reminds me that God is my joy: “ I delight greatly in the Lord, my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of Salvation and arrayed me in arose of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10.
It’s so important to make sure you find some sort of outlet for your feelings and negative emotions. Find what works for you, don’t just rest in the negative that can turn into something serious like depression. Many don’t realize how serious depression is also they don’t know it is a disease and many times need medication. I don’t want to bring this post completely down I just want to impart some information that can help you out.
The next time you are feeling low, gloomy and grim find that outlet whether it’s a friend to talk to prayer or meditation, maybe it’s exercising. Just do something to put that smile back on your face.
How are you striving to make your Monday great, not just your day but your week, month, year, your life as a whole? Everything we do and say has a great affect on our daily life. All the decisions you make determines how things will turnout for you in every area of life. It’s important to make quality decisions so that you will have quality life everyday. I learned a long time ago that what you speak into your life happens, you must speak what you want. I know what your thinking if I just speak a couple million dollars in my pocket will it be there,No it won’t just magically appear. Although speaking that you will be a millionaire can and will happen as long as you are working towards that goal. But let’s take this down to a daily goal. If your Monday goal is to be happy and get through the day wessith peace and no issues, then guess what no matter what crosses your path it will happen. Yet your actions and attitude determine how well your day will go. Somethings can come across your path at work, it could be a crazy driver in traffic but your response will determine if your day will be happy and peaceful.
So think before you speak or react to the things around you today, I’m sure you will see a difference in how well your day goes. If others want to be miserable let them, it doesn’t mean you have to be.
Make you’re your Monday Great !!!
