You have so much power in what you say it’s not even funny. We usually say the first thing that comes to our mind, and half the time it’s not good. As we go through life we encounter so many things but we have to learn to control our tongue when dealing with these situations.
There are multiple scriptures in reference to how we speak, what to speak and when to speak. God gives us so much knowledge on how to conduct ourselves with our speech. It’s so imperative to apply these scriptures to our lives. For example Proverbs 13:3 “Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips come to ruin.”
Or James 1:19 Know this, my beloved brothers let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak slow to anger. I could go on and on with scriptures in reference to how we speak, but you have to read and study the word for yourself.
What I will share with you is that you have great power in your tongue and you need to use it. Speak up for yourself be bold in your speech. Don’t let others quiet your tongue especially when you have something powerful to say. God gave you a gift to speak but He desires us to speak positivity, and speak in authority. Use your tongue to speak positivity in your own life and those around. Don’t use your speech to tear others down, you wouldn’t want others to speak negatively to you or about you. As Proverbs 18:21 says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
