The journey is something we all tend to struggle with. We always want to control the journey but, it’s not our job to do so. God has a path for us to follow therefore we have no say so over the things we experience in our journeys through life. We want to control because we don’t like what we experience but it’s for our benefit as well as the people around us.
God allows us to experience and endure certain hardships to strengthen us, to test our faith. He truly wants us to lean on Him and keep our faith in Him, God wants you to know that He will never leave you nor forsake you. When your journey seems to be the most difficult that’s when we call on God. But, God wants us to want and need Him all the time not just when we can’t do it anymore by ourselves.
Hebrews 12:2-3 KJV
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
We have to learn to focus on where we are going not how we get there or how long it takes to get there. If you recall Jesus did not complain on His journey to being hung on the cross. He trusted His father God through the journey. God sent people to help Jesus through the journey and somethings Jesus suffered and endured some unbelievable harsh incidents but He kept on going. He sacrificed so much so our journeys won’t be so difficult. Jesus is our example of what it is to have faith in God.
